Frequently Asked Questions
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 100 known cannabinoids, which are plant compounds found in hemp and cannabis. Cannabinoids work by acting on the body’s own endogenous (aka internal) cannabinoid system, called the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system includes a network of cannabinoid receptors in cells throughout our body. This network responds to both cannabinoids that our body naturally produces and cannabinoids that we consume.
CBD is used for a wide range of health and wellness reasons. CBD is known for calming the mind, focusing the attention and balancing the body.
No. CBD is non-psychoactive which means it doesn’t result in a ‘high’.

There is no evidence to suggest any of the ingredients in the dosages found in our Evening Blend would make you too relaxed to drive. However, as with any relaxation product, it is best to try it when at home and do not need to drive for several hours. Everybody responds differently to CBD.
Both cannabis and hemp are from the plant family Cannabaceae and the genus Cannabis. Cannabis is typically harvested from a female plant. Hemp farmers harvest both female and male plants, but in order for the plants to be legally classified as hemp they must have less than 0.3% THC in the leaves and flowering heads.
Once CBD is extracted from cannabis or hemp, it is the same molecule. CBD is equally safe and effective, regardless of whether it comes from cannabis or hemp.
CBD commonly comes in three different forms: CBD isolate (aka pure CBD), full-spectrum CBD, and broad spectrum CBD. Full spectrum CBD is the full hemp plant extract. Broad spectrum CBD is full spectrum CBD, minus the trace amounts of THC. Broad spectrum CBD and full-spectrum CBD have trace amounts of other cannabinoids (e.g. CBG, CBN) and terpenes (e.g. Myrcene, Limonene), while CBD isolate is pure CBD with no trace amounts of other cannabinoids.
